Monty Python’s Pet Shop Scene
A man walks into a pet shop. He wants to complain about a parrot he has just bought. ‘What’s wrong with it?’ ‘It’s dead- that’s what’s wrong with it!’. This scene is familiar to most British people.
The mythical comedy group Monty Python has come to be representative of what is known as british humour. This sene is one of their most famous, so much so that when Monty Python reunited a 50-foot dead parrot was placed next to Tower Bridge in London.
