Location

This one screen cinema can be found just off the town square in Faversham, tucked away behind the estate agents Ward & Partners.

The Building

This privately owned, Grade II listed building was first built as an Odeon in 1936 making the cinema 77 years old, and one of only two surviving mock Tudor cinemas in the UK. The building exterior is brick, steel and concrete, but your attention is averted by two intricate stone carvings either side of the large Tudor style window above the porch and the two painted gargoyles that appear to be holding it up. The cinema may look old but the equipment is not, and has recently been upgraded with a HD projector and full surround sound.

Clientele

Thanks to the wide range of films and the incredibly reasonable prices available from this single screen cinema, the screenings are normally well attended by people of all ages from Faversham and the surrounding villages. Loyalty cards are also now available which is encouraging more and more people to attend screenings.

Programme

You will find your usual blockbusters and family movies are available. The cinema has a strong association with the Faversham Film Society and provides the opportunity to view a range of arthouse and foreign films on a Monday night.

Further Comments

The normal range of drinks and snacks are available to purchase before the film at very reasonable prices, and at the rear of the cinema the back row sits two steps above the previous row giving plenty of extra legroom for taller clientele. The staff at the cinema are very friendly, welcoming and attentive. Always willing to answer any questions or queries and provide excellent customer service.
